Zac and I went to Panama City Beach the last week in July with his parents. We had such a good time. We soaked up the sun during the day and went out to dinner every night. It was very relaxing! My brother was actually there playing a ball tournament, so one night he came to dinner with us! Once again another vacation much needed :)

A few weeks ago Zac had to go to work for a few hours, so I decided to take Queenie for a swim at my grandmother's. She was so funny. She did not know what to think. She would not go pass the steps, so she never actually swam. She mainly pawed at the water and ran laps around the pool, but it was too cute. These are just a few pictures I took.

For the 4th of July we went swimming at my great grandmother's. It was so much fun. On the 3rd we had a cook-out at Zac's parents house. We are usually at the beach for the 4th of July, but it got rescheduled for the last week in July. Hope everyone had a good 4th.

WOW!! We have been married one year :) I cannot believe it!! It has really flown by. We have had a great year together and looking forward to many more! Last Saturday there was a dozen roses delivered to the house bright and early. That night we swapped gifts and went to dinner at McCormick and Schmick's. It was SO GOOD! I got a charm bracelet with my first charm being a cruise ship which signified our honeymoon. No, I did not help Zac.. haha. I was so proud of him! My other charm was not in yet, but it is the BCS championship charm which signifies our trip to LA. Roll Tide ;) On Sunday which was our actual anniversary we slept in and cooked a huge breakfast and lunch for each other and of course we had cake.. After lunch we just hung out at the house and relaxed. It was a great first anniversary!

Last week me, Zac, Chris, and Cassandra all went to dinner at On Tap. We had sooo much fun! There anniversary is June 25th and ours is June 27th. We had an early celebration for our anniversaries. They have been married 5 years and we have been married 1 year. Congrats to us and them♥

I had to work on Father's day, but that afternoon we went to my great grandmother's and ate dinner. We all had so much fun just eating and hanging out by the pool. My dad and paw-paw opened up my grandmother's pool this year. It has not been opened in about 15 years, so we were all pretty exited :) Many days to come laying out by the pool!!

Zac and I have almost been married ONE whole year :) Our anniversary is June 27. Zac only gets a couple of weeks off in the summer so we decided to celebrate our anniversary early and take off to the beach. We went the first week of June and it was FABULOUS! We went to Sandestin and stayed at the resort Elation. It is part of The Grand Sandestin resort which is right next to Baytowne Wharf which is great. There are tons of places to eat and shop. It was walking distance from our resort so that made it nice and easy.

For Mother's day we ate lunch with Zac's mom and dinner with my mom. Bec-Bec (Zac's aunt) always cooks lunch for the whole family. After lunch we headed to my great grandmother's for dinner. We gave my mom a picture collage calendar and a candle and gave Lisa (Zac's mom) a picture collage canvas framed. It was so cute. They both loved their gifts! I Hope all the mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day. There is nothing like a mother's love.

My little cousin Braden turned 5 this year. He has grown up so fast. I cannot believe he will start K-5 this fall. He had his birthday party at Pump it Up. Yes, I did play on all the slides like I was turning 5 and I actually got Zac to slide with me...haha. Braden had a great birthday and got lots of new toys.

A few weeks ago we had a coach's cook-out at the head coach's house. We had so much fun. All of the new coach's at Hueytown got together and had a Shrimp boil. The food was fabulous. We had a good time eating and meeting with the new coaches and their wives/girlfriends. FYI-Chris and Cassandra (pictured below) are not new to Hueytown. We have been close friends with them for several years now :)

Ok, so I am not quite the race fan, but it is fun going. This was my second time to ever go and we had a blast. We had infield tickets and pit passes. Going to see the pits was very neat. Queen has grown so much over the past year. She now weighs about 80lbs. She is so BIG, but she thinks she is so LITTLE. Sometimes when she is tired she will come and get in your lap. I am always thinking Queen you are not 10lbs...lol. She has no idea how big or heavy she is. When she gets excited she just about knocks me down ha. She is very loving, especially in the morning. She is by far one of a kind!

Queen turned 1 on April 13th. I cannot get over how much she has grown. Of course, I went and bought her a cake. I found that cake at Wal-mart, as soon as I saw it I said that is the one. It looks just like Queenie. I thought it was too cute and too funny to not get. I bought Queen a cute shirt that says, "I know I'm Fabulous" lol...so perfect. I also bought her some chew bones and a new toy. Can I just say she is very spoiled and we love her to death!! Happy Birthday Queenie!

We had Jessica's work baby shower at Surin West in Southside. That is Jessica's favorite place to eat so we took her there. We got her tons of great gifts. We were able to get Riley her swing, highchair, car seat base, diapers, wipes etc. She was very excited. We had such a good time. It is always nice to hang out with your friends from work outside of work! I cannot wait until Riley Shea arrives :)

Easter Sunday I had to work at the hospital, so we were not able to go to church :( We always have lunch with his family and then have dinner with mine. I missed lunch, but was able to go out to my Aunt's house for dinner. We ate dinner and hid Easter eggs for Braden. He is the only little one in the family so he got ALL the money! Easter weekend Zac and I planted flowers. I have been wanting to work in the yard since we bought the house. We finally went to Lowe's and bought some really pretty flowers and bark. You will notice in one of the pictures Zac measuring. He had to make sure they were the right length apart. Me on the other hand would have just placed them ha!! Gerber daisies are my favorite so that is what I got for the front flower bed!! They are actually blooming very well. We have not killed any flowers yet, so hopefully they will last throughout spring and summer . I also bought some African daisies which are purple. We decided to do purple and yellow around the tree to show our support for Hueytown, nerds I know! What can I say my hubby coaches there =)

Two weeks ago was my Great Grandmother's birthday. She turned 78 this year. All the girls in the family went to eat at The Olive Garden. The OG is my grandmother's favorite place to eat. We had such a good time together. I think my grandmomma had a wonderful birthday.

I took Queen to the groomer's about a week ago. I always bathe queen myself, but she was starting to shed her winter coat off and it was terrible. I took Queen to PetSmart in Hoover. The lady did an awesome job and was extremely sweet. I did not get any pictures of her getting groomed because it took 4 hours. I went shopping while she was getting all dolled up. The lady that groomed her said everyone was watching Queen through the window and went on and on about how pretty she was. Her shedding has gotten a lot better since she was groomed. Thank goodness!! This picture was taken on the way to PetSmart.

Queen loves to go for rides. If I am doing little errands around Hueytown I take Queen with me. If I ask her if she wants to go for a ride, she beats me to the door. She is so funny. She is one of a kind. I love our baby girl so much. She will finally be a year old on April 13th :)

After Savannah, Ga we headed to P.C beach to stay at Tamara's dad's house. On our way to the beach we stopped in Tallahassee and saw FSU's stadium. It was very neat. Zac and I got to stay two nights at the beach. It was a short beach trip, but we still had fun. On our first night we did not do much. We ate in and went to a place called Tootsie's. The next day we slept in and went to the beach for a little while. It was chilly, but with me and my fair skin, I got ROASTED!! That night we went and had dinner at Cpt. Anderson's (our favorite). After dinner we went to Pineapple Willy's and Sharky's. We had a fabulous time!! We all had a nice and relaxed Spring Break :) It was very well needed!

St.Patty's night was sooo fun! Savannah, GA has the second largest celebration in the country for St.Patrick's day. It was crazy there. We ate at Dockside that night which was on River Street, then we headed to a Karaoke bar. We made some really great memories while in Savannah that we will never forget. Some of you know I cannot sing and that night I sang on stage for about 10minutes, really 10 minutes to long, haha. The D.J. kept telling me to let someone else sing and I was like um NEGATIVE...lol. I finally gave up the mic. We had a ball while in Savannah. This was our last night, so we wanted to make the best of it :):)

Most of you know Zac was a History major, so touring Fort Pulaski was right up his alley. Fort Pulaski was an American fort created before the Civil War. It was captured by the confederates during the Civil War. It is now a National Monument that can be toured. It was really neat and we all enjoyed seeing it.

On St.Patty's day we did not wake up in time to watch the parade :( so we decided to eat lunch and drive out to Tybee Island. It rained off and on, but we still had fun. Tybee Island is about 15 miles from downtown Savannah. It was very pretty. We did not stay long because of the rain, but it was so worth seeing. BTW Sara heard on E that Sandra Bullock was on Tybee Island while we were there. I am pretty upset we did not see her....ugh. What are the odds?? She was there visiting family! After seeing Tybee Island we headed to Fort Pulaski which was on our way back. Zac REALLY wanted to see it so we stopped.

For Spring Break me, Zac, Sara, Craig, Tamara, and Landon all went to Savannah, GA for 3 days then headed to the beach for 2. I surprised Zac with the trip to Savannah for Valentine's Day. We all went to celebrate St.Patty's day and just to tour the historic city. It was such a fun trip and I cannot wait to go back. The bottom collage is our first afternoon. We arrived around 2pm and headed straight to River Street to eat. We had lunch at a place called Bernies. It was Fabulous!! We then walked around and saw everything on River Street. After touring around we went and showered and got ready for that night. We ate at a place called Tubby's, then headed to The Roof Top. SOOO fun. The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. Savannah and Kathryn, Zac's two cousins, are in the pageant every year. Savannah wins every year, but did not this year :( Kathryn got 1st alternate. We were so excited for her. We did not get to get a picture with Savannah because she had already changed. Savannah was in Senior high and Kathryn was in Junior high. They both looked beautiful. After the pageant the whole family went to eat at Logan's it was soooo good!

A couple of weeks ago Zac and I went out to Calera to the Shugrue's house. We have been wanting to go out there and visit for a while now, but our weeks stay so busy right now. We finally made time and it was well worth it. Tamara cooked homemade Chicken Alfredo and I am just sayin....it was FABULOUS!!! We had caesar salad my favorite and rolls. The dinner was soooo good. We had such a good time just hanging out. Can't wait until next time :) Love you guys!!

I was so glad I got to go to J.T's first two games :) I stay so busy during the week, it is hard for me to go to all the games. I love watching my brother play baseball. He is such a great athlete. I am so proud of him and want to wish him the best of luck his Junior year. Next year he will be a Senior, I cannot believe it. We are all hoping he gets a scholarship to play ball somewhere. He for sure has the ability!! He pitches, plays short stop, and 3rd base. You can say he could play anymore they needed him too. If J.T. is not hunting, fishing, or riding the 4-wheeler, he is practing or playing baseball. He loves it and I love him!!!

Valentine's Day♥

I gave Zac his present Sunday after I got home from work. Unfortunately, I had to work on Valentine's, but I got off work at 3pm so it was not that bad. I gave Zac some candy, a National Championship collage for his office and a SURPRISE trip to Savannah, Georgia in March. Us and a bunch of our friends are going over Spring Break to celebrate St. Patrick's day. They have the 2nd biggest celebration so we are all pretty excited :0 I got Queen two new toys which she LOVED! That night we cooked at the house, then went and saw the movie Valentine's Day which was very cute. We had a very fun-filled weekend to celebrate Valentine's!!

This year I got my Valentine's present on the 13th. Zac surprised me with tickets to the Black Eyed Peas Concert!!!!!!! Can I just say I was soooo excited :) I absolutely love the BEP's! The concert was so much fun. LMFAO and Ludacris opened up for the BEP's. Ludacris put on a really good show. He played all of his hit songs. Before the concert he took me to The Fish Market which is one of our favorite places to eat. It was such a GOOD and FUN night!! I hope they come back next year, because I will SO be there. BTW it was their first time in BHAM!! :)

Ok, so I have got to enjoy two days of snow this week. I have an art class I take twice a month at Athens State in Athens, Al. Me and three other girls carpool together. Well, this past Monday about ten miles away from the exit it started pouring snow. The snowflakes were HUGE!! It was actually my turn to drive so I was the lucky one:) It was a little scary considering there was snow everywhere and it was sticking to the roads. My car did not want to stop at all which was a bit freaky. I ran several red lights to say the least. We called school and it was still open. We were a little shocked because of how hard it was snowing. Luckily, we made it to school safely. Today, I had to work at the hospital, but it was actually a fun day to work. It was very relaxing and we watched it snow most of the day. The hospital had arranged for the Blue Bell truck to come and give out free ice cream to the workers and patients to celebrate Valentine's Day. Once I got home from work I changed clothes and played with Queen outside. She loved it. It felt so good to her outside, she did not want to come in. Snow Days are always fun, whether I am at school, work, or at home :)

Last Friday night a bunch of girls from work and high school got together and played BUNCO. It was my very first time to play. It was so much fun. I always remember when I was in high school my mom going to play with the neighborhood women. Now, I am playing HA. We will be playing once a month and I am looking forward to it. This first time was actually for practice since only one person knew how to play. Next month we will actually play for gifts :) I did pretty well, I had the most BUNCO'S so I was pretty pumped :) We only had 8 girls that were able to make it. Hopefully next time we will have the full 12.

...is growing up so quick. She is 9months old now and weighs about 90lbs. She is as tall as me when she stands up. She is getting so big and is not through growing. We love her so much. She is defiantly treated like a human. Every night when I cook she always ends up with her own plate. Can I say SPOILED:) She is such a sweet girl. She is very well mannered and knows when she does wrong. I know I haven't posted in a while about her leg when it was hurt, but she is much better now. Her limp did come back about a week after she had finished her medicine, so of course I freaked out and took her back to the vet. They said her growth plate was not quite fused together because she was growing so quick. She is all better now, THANK GOODNESS!

Finally, this is the last post for CaLiFoRnIa... After touring around LA we headed to Universal Studios. It was a lot of fun. We did the Studio tour which was very neat. We saw lots of great things. We saw how they created floods, rain, earthquakes, and how they turned different roads into different cities. We also saw Desperate Housewives Wisteria Lane, How the Grinch Stole Christmas road, and how they create the stunts in Fast and Furious. I had no idea how they created all the great shows and movies. It is so crazy how they make everything look so real. My camera died so I did not get a picture of everything. I did not even get a picture of the Universal Studio sign ugh... Anyways, we rode all the rides, but did not get to see any shows because of time. Hope you have enjoyed all the post from our trip. It was such a blast!! I am so thankful we got to go. I am also going to post a picture of our lovely rental car because I forgot to in the first post. It was very good to us haha :)

Santa Monica Pier was so cool. We had so much fun just walking up and down looking at the ocean and all the shops. We actually ate lunch on the pier at a Mexican place which was FaBulOuS!! I have never seen an amusement park on a pier little or big. So neat! The view was gorgeous. You will also see a picture of Route 66. We were at the end of that road. It runs all the way up to Chicago. That is so wild.

We went to Rodeo Dr and just walked around. All of the stores were closed by the time we got there, but I'm pretty sure I would not have bought anything anyway..ha. We had fun just walking around and looking at all the EXPENSIVE stores. There was a hotel at the end of Rodeo Dr and that was were Pretty Woman was filmed. This was such a good tour. We got to tour the Mentalist set and they were actually filming an outside scene as we were driving by. So cool:):) All the cars in the collage are the actual cars from the movies. The guy in the blue scrubs is the star in the new upcoming show Miami Medical which is taking Er's place. We also saw were spider man was filmed. BTW the kiss scene where he was hanging upside took 2 and half hours to film. He was very upset about that. So they said. Highly recommend this tour if you go to LA.

Headed to LA, California!

Zac and I went to Los Angeles, California last week for the Bama game:):) It was sooooo much FUN!! We had the time of our life just hanging out together. We flew out last Wednesday and did not get there until 11pm pacific time. Thursday was the BAMA game so we woke up early and headed to Pasadena. It was such a great atmosphere. I am so glad we got to go. The game was amazing, and we brought home number 13!!! ROLL TIDE:) Friday we toured NBC studios and Warner Brothers. NBC was not what I expected, but Warner Brothers was very cool. We got to see where a lot of things were being filmed and had been filmed. My favorite was going on the actual set of Friends. We got to take pictures in the Cafe!!! SOOO neat! After Warner Brothers we went to Rodeo Dr. If you do not know what this is it is a very famous road were all the celebrities SHOP. Kim Karadashian was there!! The hotel at the end of Rodeo Dr is were Pretty Woman was filmed. We also went and ate at the oldest restaurant in Hollywood, Musso and Franks. It was very similar to the Bright Star. After eating we just walked up and down Hollywood Blvd. On Hollywood Blvd there were may shops, Walk of Fame, and the Kodak theatre. The Kodak theatre is were the American Idol finalist perform. Saturday was our last day so we woke up early and drove around downtown LA. We saw UCLA, Southern Cal, The LA memorial center, ESPN, The Staple Center, and Nokia theatre. Nokia is were they host the Grammy's. After touring LA, we drove to Santa Monica to see the famous pier. WOW, it was so cool. There were shops, restaurants, and an amusement park. I am not kidding!! There was a roller coaster, ferris wheel, and many kid rides. After eating lunch on the pier we headed to Universal Studios Hollywood. It was a blast. We rode all the rides and did a tour of the Universal Studio set. We saw Desperate Housewives road, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Jurassic Park, and many other little towns that they turn into different cities. After Universal Studios we went and ate at Mel's Drive In on Sunset Blvd. I ate there while I was in San Francisco a few years ago, and had to take Zac there. It is sooo good. After eating dinner we had to return our rental car. BTW we were suppose to have a convertible, but it was no longer available, so we got a Hybrid Prius...Haha! Poor Zac was way to tall for that car, it was quite funny watching him drive it around Cali:) Anyways, after dropping the car off the bus took us to the Airport to head back to Bham :( Our flight left that night at 12am. I never knew the red eye flight was so popular, but half the plane was BAMA fans. We actually got a shout out from the pilot! We made it home Sunday morning around 10am. It was by sure a once in a lifetime trip! I cannot believe I actually went to the Rose Bowl stadium. I will post pictures of each day! Hope you enjoy..

For New Years Eve Zac and I grilled steak and cooked baked potatoes. Will, Eric, Sara, and Craig came over to hang out for a while. After playing the Wii, we decided to head out downtown and go to Crush. It was a lot of fun.

My great granddaddy passed away on 1-3-10. He was very sick and had been in and out of the hospital for several months now. He had a really weak heart. The doctors and nurses tried everything they could to help him live a good and long life. He was a tough man and fought through his pain very hard. I am so thankful for the time I had with him. I went over to my grandparents house everyday for the past two months taken care of him. I would give him his daily shots and flush his port out. He loved when I came over and told me everyday to come back. He was suffering and it was hard to see him like that. I am glad to know he is no longer suffering, but he will be missed by the whole family. We love you granddaddy.

Every Christmas night we get together with my side of the family at my Aunt's house. It is always so much fun. We eat and open gifts. Sadly, this was my great granddaddy's last Christmas. He has been sick for a while now. I am just so glad he made it through Christmas and New Years. Here are a few pictures of the whole fam and I am posting a collage above. Enjoy:)

...I am going to get caught up before school hits really hard. We just got home from Cali this morning **ROLL TIDE** and have been asleep for most of the day. Time change gets me every time, not to mention we had the red eye flight. Anyways, I will update my blog very soon. We had so much fun on Christmas morning. We opened our presents from each other and ate breakfast together. Zac is very bad about spending more on me than I do him. He bought me an Ipod touch which I LOVE and Santa brought me some Costa Sunglasses. I have been wanting some so bad and finally got them. They are too cute. I got some covers for my Ipod and an Under Armour ear warmer for the Football games. I bought Zac some new shoes for work, a drill, and some cold gear Under Armour stuff. We had a really good "First" Christmas together.

Next year I am putting up a small tree and decorating it with the ornaments we get each other. This is a new tradition we are also starting. We bought two ornaments while on our honeymoon and I surprised Zac with a Coach ornament I had found while in Fort Payne. He loved it and I thought it was too cute :)

Starting our own "Traditions"

This year since it is our first year to be married, we decided to start our own traditions. We are going to swap one gift each on Christmas Eve, Eve and Christmas Eve. Last night when we got back from my parents house we swapped one gift each. I gave Zac his new Fossil watch, and he gave me two Alabama shirts. You all know we had to give Queenie something too. I gave her, her new football toy which she loved. We are having such a great Christmas so far, and still have many more presents to give and receive. Last night we celebrated Christmas at my mom and dad's. We had a lot of fun and received great gifts from everyone. My mimi, paw-paw, aunt Mandi, and Braden always come over before we meet with the whole family on Christmas night. Zac and I are very spoiled and thankful for our families. I got a new houndstooth purse, an outfit, a sewing machine, an Alabama shirt to take to Pasadena :), a cute new planner, and of course some money. Zac got cologne, MONEY, and a nice fleece jacket. Together we got a Wii from my mimi and paw-paw and a nice patio set from my parents. We are too SPOILED, but I am not complaining :):)

Desoto Falls

We are back from Fort Payne, just in time for CHRISTMAS :) We finished up 6th in the tournament. We all had a really good time. We decided to take the boys to see Desoto Falls since we were staying in Fort Payne. I had never been to Desoto Falls before, so I was excited to go. Zac not only coaches football, but basketball too. We have a three day tournament next week in Fort Payne. I was dreading it being the week of Christmas, but realized I would be off work the entire week :):) I am actually excited about going because we are close to Chattanooga, and you know what that means, GREAT shopping. This is our 2nd annual Christmas Party. We got to have it at our house this year. We watched the Heisman presentation RTR, ate finger foods, played dirty Santa, and played a game many know as flip cup. It is always so fun to get together and hang out with friends. So... I am very excited to say Zac and I are headed out to Pasadena, California for the Rose Bowl!!! We received our tickets last week, and booked our flights today. I cannot wait to tour LA and watch the Tide Roll :):) I have never been to a National Championship game before, much less the Rose Bowl. I feel very LUCKY to get to go.

Zac had basketball games last Friday night. When we left the gym to go home it was snowing :) I was so excited. Queen was not to sure of it, but did love how cold it was outside. She would not come back inside the house.

So Queen has been limping for two weeks now. I finally took her to the vet yesterday. They wanted to sedate her and do X-rays today. We were so nervous. Our baby girl has never had to be sedated before. We did not receive terrible news, but not wonderful either. She has two spots, one on her ulna and one on her fibula that were inflamed. Inflammation is suppose to be very painful, but our little girl is one tough chick. The doctor said she never acted like it hurt her. It is very common in big breed dogs to have bone problems. They gave her some medicine and we hope it gets well in a few days. I will keep everyone updated.

For Thanksgiving we got to spend the day with both sides of the family. We went to Zac's aunt's for lunch and then headed to my aunt's for dessert. They live within five minutes of each other on 280 so it worked out perfect.

Last night I went to watch Braden play soccer for the first time. If you do not know Braden is my little cousin. It was so funny. Needless to say they did not win, but Braden made a great block while playing goalie. He did really good.

Weeks ago we played Minor for the game of the week. We had to post pone the game until Saturday because of the weather. The field was horrible and the game should have been moved to another location. It would have been a totally different ball game if the field wasn't so muddy. We did not pull it through unfortunately.

Zac and I got to go to Atlanta for the Bama game! We had so much fun. We left early Saturday morning and tailgated before the game. We were suppose to stay the night, but ended up coming on home. The game was very fun and exciting. The VT fan in the picture was sitting right behind us. We had a good time joking around with him. He was actually raised a Bama fan, but went to VT. I said, well you cannot be for both. He said, I am just for them tonight. I was like whatever trader. HA! By the end of the game he was not happy with the other people around us and ended up leaving early. Sorry!!!! RTR.....Hey HOKIES......

Hueytown Vs Shades Valley

Two weeks ago we played Shades Valley. I took my little cousin to the game and he got camera happy. That is why there are a couple of pictures of himself. I guess he gets that from his mom SHH..HA! My birthday was FABULOUS!!! Zac got me a new phone, jewelry, and a dozen red roses. I was so excited and of course I got exactly what I wanted :) He took me to dinner at Leonardo's then had my friends waiting on us to got out. He is such a sweetheart and knows exactly how to make me smile. My parents took me out to eat at the Olive Garden and you know that is always good. My mother in-law wanted to take me shopping so of course I was up for that. I had a wonderful birthday and got lots of good stuff.
